Chengdu Chongqing ‘32 Olympic Games.

Olympic Branding

This logo was created for the proposed Summer 2032 Olympic Games and merges two highly symbolic elements of both the Olympic Games and of Chengdu and Chongqing, China. One of these elements is the lighting of the Olympic flame and the other is the city flower of Chengdu, which is the hibiscus. The center line and yellow circles represent the inner pistil and stamen of the hibiscus flower. The logo utilizes movement and continuity and embodies the Olympic athletes by expressing flexibility, action, and fluidity. The colors honor China with its use of warm hues, and the addition of the gradient demonstrates the natural way a petal’s colors degrate out from the center.
